This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we’re separating myths from facts - because awareness is the first step towards safe menstrual hygiene practices, dignity, hygiene education, and better women’s health.

Let’s normalise conversations around periods, menstrual care, sanitary hygiene, and menstrual awareness, not stigma.

May 28 is no coincidence! The 5th month for the 5 days she endures, and the 28th for the cycle that never pauses. Neither does she.
She shows up through the cramps, the fatigue, the discomfort that the world rarely stops to acknowledge. But today, we ask, should she always have to?
Rest is not weakness. Rest is a right.

This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, let’s normalise the conversation, honour her strength, and demand the spaces and support she deserves.

The conversation around menstrual leave has been in the news recently.

But beyond policy debates, there are also lived experiences of women navigating work, pain, stigma and silence every month.

When PRAG launched the campaign in 2017, the aim was simple:
to acknowledge menstrual health and create workplaces where women don’t feel pressured to hide what they’re going through.

Over the years, something powerful happened, conversations opened up.
