“Toh Phir Aao” has an interesting history because the version heard in (2007) originated from Roxen’s earlier work, but it was adapted for the film.

Before Awarapan released, Roxen had already created a demo/web version of “Toh Phir Aao”, which became very popular online and reportedly received tens of thousands of downloads. Bollywood later adapted the song for the film with Pritam arranging the soundtrack version while retaining Mustafa Zahid’s vocals.
Differences Between the Roxen Demo and the Film Version
The original Roxen demo has a more raw alternative-rock sound with lighter production.
The Awarapan version features richer orchestration, additional atmospheric elements, and a more polished Bollywood arrangement by Pritam.
Mustafa Zahid is the vocalist in both versions.
Emraan Hashmi gave us one of the most unforgettable performances, and this masterpiece continues to live in millions of hearts.
