Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) is the second of the two main festivals in Islam, alongside Eid al-Fitr. It falls on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijja, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar. Celebrations and observances are generally carried forward to the three following days, known as the Tashreeq days. Eid al-Adha is also sometimes called the Greater Eid.

As with Eid al-Fitr, the Eid prayer is performed on the morning of Eid al-Adha, after which the udhiyah, or the ritual sacrifice of sheep, is performed. In Islamic tradition, it honours the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command.

Depending on the narrative, either Ishmael or Isaac is referred to with the honorific title "Sacrifice of God".Pilgrims performing the Hajj typically perform the tawaf and saee of Hajj on Eid al-Adha, along with the ritual stoning of the Devil on the Eid day and the following days. वट सावित्री व्रत सौभाग्य को देने वाला और संतान की प्राप्ति में सहायता देने वाला व्रत माना गया है। भारतीय संस्कृति में यह व्रत आदर्श नारीत्व का प्रतीक बन चुका है। इस व्रत की तिथि को लेकर भिन्न मत हैं। स्कंद पुराण तथा भविष्योत्तर पुराण के अनुसार ज्येष्ठ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पूर्णिमा को यह व्रत करने का विधान है, वहीं निर्णयामृत आदि के अनुसार ज्येष्ठ मास की अमावस्या को व्रत करने की बात कही गई है।

वीर केसरी चंद बलिदान दिवस हर साल 3 मई को आज़ाद हिंद फ़ौज के स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, शहीद केसरी चंद के सर्वोच्च बलिदान की याद में मनाया जाता है। उन्हें 1945 में इसी दिन, 24 वर्ष की आयु में, ब्रिटिश सेना द्वारा फाँसी दे दी गई थी। उनके साहस और देशभक्ति का सम्मान करने के लिए, उत्तराखंड के चकराता स्थित रामताल गार्डन में एक विशाल स्मारक मेले का आयोजन किया जाता है।

Buddha Purnima, Buddha Jayanti, or Buddha Day is a primarily Buddhist festival that is celebrated in most of South, Southeast, and East Asia, commemorating the birth of the prince Siddhartha Gautama, who became Gautama Buddha and founded Buddhism. According to Buddhist tradition and archaeologists, Gautama Buddha, c. 623 BCE, was born at Lumbini in Nepal.

Buddha's mother was Queen Maya Devi, who delivered the Buddha while undertaking a journey to her native home, and his father was King Śuddhodana. The Mayadevi Temple, its gardens, and an Ashoka Pillar dating from 249 BCE mark the Buddha's birthplace at Lumbini.

The exact year of Buddha's birthday is based on the Sri Lankan convention, while several Asian lunisolar calendars ascribe it to different lunar days. The date for the celebration of Buddha's birthday, therefore, varies from year to year in the Western Gregorian calendar, but it is usually celebrated in either April or May. सभी देशवासियो को बैसाखी पर्व की हार्दिक शुभकामनाए एवं बधाई।

बैसाखी वैसाख महीने के पहले दिन को चिह्नित करती है और पारंपरिक रूप से हर साल 13 अप्रैल और कभी-कभी 14 अप्रैल को मनाई जाती है। इसे मुख्य रूप से पंजाब और उत्तरी भारत में वसंत की फसल के उत्सव के रूप में देखा जाता है।

जबकि यह फसल के त्योहार के रूप में सांस्कृतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण है, भारत के कई हिस्सों में बैसाखी भारतीय सौर नव वर्ष की तारीख भी है। लेकिन सिखों के लिए यह नया साल नहीं है क्योंकि नानकशाही कैलेंडर के अनुसार चेत महीने की पहली तारीख को नए साल के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

Good Friday, also known as Black Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday, Great and Holy Friday, or Friday of the Passion of the Lord, is a solemn Christian holy day commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary (Golgotha). It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum.

Members of many Christian denominations, including the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, Anglican, Methodist, Oriental Orthodox, United Protestant, and some Reformed traditions (including certain Continental Reformed, Presbyterian, and Congregationalist churches), observe Good Friday with fasting and church services.

In many Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, and Methodist churches, the Service of the Great Three Hours' Agony is held from noon until 3 p.m.—the hours the Bible records darkness covering the land until Jesus' death on the cross. Communicants of the Moravian Church have a Good Friday tradition of cleaning gravestones in Moravian cemeteries.

आप सभी को हनुमान जयंती की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं एवं बधाई।

हनुमान जयंती जिसे हनुमान जन्मोत्सव भी कहा जाता है, एक प्रमुख हिन्दू त्यौहार है जो हिंदू देवता और रामायण तथा इसके कई संस्करणों के मुख्य पात्रों में से एक हनुमान जी के जन्म के उपलक्ष्य में मनाया जाता है।

हनुमान जी एक वानर हैं, जिनका जन्म केसरी और माता अंजना से हुआ था। हनुमान जी को वायु देवता के दिव्य पुत्र के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। हनुमान जी को भगवान विष्णु के अवतार राम का एक उत्साही भक्त माना जाता है, जो अपनी अटूट भक्ति के लिए व्यापक रूप से जाने जाते हैं। उन्हें शक्ति के प्रतीक के रूप में सम्मानित किया जाता है।

हनुमान जयन्ती पर लोग हनुमान मन्दिर में दर्शन हेतु जाते है, कुछ लोग व्रत भी धारण कर बड़ी उत्सुकता और ऊर्जा के साथ समर्पित होकर इनकी पूजा करते है। यतः यह कहा जाता है कि हनुमान जी बाल ब्रह्मचारी थे, अतः इन्हे जनेऊ भी पहनाई जाती है।

हनुमान जी की मूर्तियों पर सिन्दूर और चाँदी का वर्क चढ़ाने की परम्परा है। कहा जाता है राम की लम्बी आयु के लिए एक बार हनुमान जी अपने पूरे शरीर पर सिन्दूर चढ़ा लिया था और इसी कारण उन्हें और उनके भक्तो को सिन्दूर चढ़ाना बहुत अच्छा लगता है जिसे चोला कहते है।

Mahavira Janma Kalyanaka, or Mahavir Jayanti, is one of the most important religious festivals in Jainism. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the twenty-fourth and last Tīrthaṅkara (supreme preacher) of the present Avasarpiṇī. On the Gregorian calendar, the festivity occurs either in March or April.

According to Jain texts, Mahavira was born on the thirteenth day of the bright half of the moon in the month of Chaitra in the year 599 BCE (Chaitra Sud 13). According to the Shvetambara tradition, he was born in Kshatriyakund of Bihar.

Some modern historians consider Kundagram (which is today's Kundalpur in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar) as his birthplace. He belonged to the Ikshvaku dynasty and grew up in a royal household. As per Jain beliefs, his birth was marked by divine signs that indicated his spiritual greatness.

He was named Vardhamana, meaning "One who grows", because of the increased prosperity in the kingdom at the time of his birth. In Vasokund, Mahavira is revered by the villagers. A place called Ahalya Bhumi has not been ploughed for hundreds of years by the family that owns it, as it is considered to be the birthplace of Mahavira. (source- wikipedia)
