That's how Steve Jobs and Apple introduced their brand new iPod to the world in 2001.

Benefits vs Features:

One of the cardinal rules in marketing is to present your Product/Service in a manner where a consumer feels that.....
"This is what I need to make my life better or simple."

1GB storage space (feature) doesn't help them perceive the product in an appealing manner. In fact most users (in 2001 at the very least) had little idea about what 1GB space has to offer in terms of number of songs they can store in the MP3 Player.

But "1000 Songs in your Pocket" (benefit) hits the nail on the head.
Kaboom....thats an emotional benefit that they can visualise then and there. Now they know they can save all their favourite songs and listen to them pretty much hassle free wherever they go.

If you are someone who uses similar phrases to market your business you NEED TO STOP DOING IT for TWO reasons:

- Unless you have concrete evidence to back it up, your target audience aren't going to believe you

- You are floating in the same boat as many other competitors who are claiming to be the same. And when everyone starts to make such bold claims then the words such as "Best in Business" and "Finest Quality" are devoid of any meaning to those who are hearing this from everyone.

How many times have you (as a Business Owner or a Marketing Professional) come across someone (who isn't even into Marketing) tell you to do this or do that to attract customers?

is a subject that appears easy to grasp initially BUT it takes way more understanding and structured implementation to attract customers to your business.

And you will understand this best once you overcome the phase of.... posting information about your product/service on your page once and expecting people to do business with you instantly after seeing your post.
