Every graphic designer should know the basic font categories to gain the attention of the reader.
Here am discussing 4 major categories and their purpose.

Save it before proceeding further.

1. Serif Fonts
A serif font has little feet called serifs that finish off the end of a letter's stem.

2. Sans Serif Fonts
A Sans Serif font is without serifs. A modern style designed to look clean on digital screens.

3. Script Fonts
A script font is a style of typography that resembles cursive or connected or handwritten letters turned into a digital font.

4. Decorative Fonts
Decorative fonts are fonts with so much personality. They can be decorative, bold, attractive, ornamental.
