Road and divider works are underway near Kanchanbagh Police Station, but the stretch has lacked proper street lights for years. With increasing traffic, including travellers heading towards Shamshabad Airport, poor visibility at night is causing difficulties for residents and commuters. MURDER NEWS | 21-Year-Old Woman Stabbed to Death, Body Stuffed in Gunny Sack Under Balapur PS Limits

As per the initial report, a 21-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by a person known to her. The accused reportedly placed the body inside a gunny sack. Balapur Police reached the spot and have started an investigation. Further details are awaited.

The newly constructed Santosh Nagar–Chanchalguda Steel Bridge, a ₹620+ crore infrastructure project, is a welcome development. However, authorities should also prioritize road safety and CCTV surveillance. With youngsters attempting dangerous stunts, racing and making reels, CCTV cameras at entry, exit, middle stretches and turning points can help deter violations, identify offenders and protect innocent commuters. When hundreds of crores are invested in infrastructure, allocating a reasonable amount for safety and surveillance can help prevent accidents and save lives.

Late-Night Chabutra Mission | Saidabad PS Limits

On the instructions of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, a late-night Chabutra Mission was conducted at Singareni Colony and Surrounding Area under Saidabad PS limits. Several persons were detained for late-night roaming, while tampered number plates, triple riding and a late-night paan shop were also identified. Those detained were later counselled at Saidabad Police Station. The operation was conducted by SI B. Gnaneshwar and his team.

Illegal Custody Torture Row | Shahnawaz Approaches High Court

Hyderabad social media influencer Shahnawaz has approached the High Court seeking justice, alleging that he was detained by Bhavani Nagar Police and subjected to torture in custody.
