Somewhere around thirteen, clothes stop being designed for you.
Graphic tees and denim on one side. Adult clothing shrunk down on the other. Ask a fourteen year old in India where she shops and she will tell you she buys the smallest adult size, because nothing in her own section fits who she has become.
That gap was the brief. No name, no logo, no palette. Just a problem.
So we named the brand after the gap itself. Midora. The aura of the middle years.
Then the symbol had to behave like a fourteen year old, not like a shop. Hence a fox. Curious, resourceful, clever, winning on wit rather than force. A lion gives you power, an owl wisdom, a rabbit softness. Only the fox gives you intelligence with a little mischief, which is exactly what fourteen feels like. We turned its gaze up towards three stars. Direction, identity, purpose.
Then the harder half. An identity is not a logo, it is a set of rules for how a mark behaves when the material keeps changing. Paper takes ink. Cloth softens it. Metal refuses detail. Thread turns curves into corners. Embossing removes colour entirely.
Same fox every time. Never the same way twice.
Brand naming, visual identity and packaging design for a teen clothing label from Indore.
