Sowing Seeds of Legacy, Inspiring the Future
We Mahycoites take immense pride in commemorating the 95th birth anniversary of our Founder Chairman, Padma Bhushan Late Shri B.R. Barwale, on 13th August. We celebrated the remarkable legacy of a visionary who transformed Indian agriculture and continues to inspire generations.
Across different locations and departments, our teams celebrated the occasions through various initiatives.
• Mahyco Head Office, Dawalwadi: Our employees came forward for a social cause and celebrated the occasion through voluntary blood donation. The event also marked the inauguration of vending machine at Dawalwadi Head office.
• Across Breeding Stations: Celebrations were marked with a traditional pooja, followed by a session detailing Dr. Barwale's contributions to Indian agriculture and his philanthropic works, reiterating Mahyco's purpose and values to act responsibly towards agricultural growth.
• Engagement with Young Minds: Our Sales & Marketing teams engaged with 8,642 students across 222 schools in villages throughout India. Through these interactions, we created awareness about his remarkable journey and contributions to Indian agriculture, while inspiring young minds to explore careers in agriculture. As a token of encouragement, notebooks were distributed to the students.
• At the Processing Plant:A medical health check-up was conducted for 110+ employees and workers, emphasizing Mahyco's commitment to health and well-being. Employees participated in a Farmer Commitment Wall, expressing their individual commitment to farmers and quality. The activity reflected the core purpose of Mahyco — serving farmers through quality seeds, innovation, and responsible practices. The celebration also included heartfelt speeches from employees and workers who shared their personal experiences and the positive impact of their association with Mahyco.
• The Production Team celebrated the Founder Chairman's birth anniversary across 24 locations, with a total participation of 1,506 farmers and school students. The event included an awareness session highlighting Mahyco's journey and Dr. Barwale’s significant contribution to Indian agriculture and the seed industry.
As we pay tribute to his remarkable journey, his vision continues to inspire the next generation and reminds us to keep farmers first in everything we do, while working towards a sustainable tomorrow.
