Rasikh Dar emerges as complete T20 Weapon

*Pace prodigy unleashes IPL storm with spellbinding variations

Rajesh Dhar

DELHI, Apr 27: Jammu & Kashmir's seam sensation, Rasikh Salam Dar, is hurtling toward T20 elite status, his daily refinements sending cricket experts into a frenzy.

Clocking searing pace, Rasikh wobbles the ball both ways, unleashing cunning slower balls and laser-guided yorkers that terrorize batters in powerplays and death overs.

His ability to extract bounce from any surface, fused with deceptive variations and surgical accuracy, cements him as a complete T20 weapon.

Days ago, he unleashed a match-winning 1/23 in 2.5 overs, propelling Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to a commanding IPL triumph over mighty Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium. In the powerplay, Rasikh shackled explosive openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, conceding just 23 runs through swing, raw pace, slower balls, and pinpoint control.

Against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), he ravaged the lineup with 4/24 in four overs, dismantling Aiden Markram, Ayush Badoni, Mukul Choudhary, and Avesh Khan to swing the game decisively.

Though wicketless against Gujarat Titans, Rasikh conceded only 28 runs in three high-pressure overs. He showed similar control versus Delhi Capitals earlier, restricting explosive batters by nailing hard lengths, mixing slower balls and yorkers, and baffling foes with pace deception.

Today, Rasikh proved his mettle again in RCB's rematch against Delhi Capitals, snaring the crucial wicket of dangerous David Miller at a pivotal moment.

The 23-year-old J&K spearhead—now starring for Baroda domestically—boasts 14 IPL wickets in 13 prior RCB matches, including a career-best 4/24 against LSG. His pedigree spans Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and India A, priming him for the global stage.

J&K crushes CBSE by 87 runs in dominant display at 69th National School Games U-17 Boys Cricket

MEHBOOB NAGAR, Apr 27: In a masterclass of teamwork and clinical ex*****on, Jammu and Kashmir demolished CBSE by a whopping 87 runs in the 69th National School Games U-17 Boys Cricket Tournament.

Hosted by the Government of Telangana under the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) banner, the match showcased J&K's ruthless dominance.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, J&K amassed a formidable 197/4 in just 15 overs. Musaib unleashed havoc with a blistering 58 (7 fours, 4 sixes), while Arsh Bin Ahad anchored with an unbeaten 44 (6 boundaries). Prabdeep Singh (23*), Lubaib Malik (20), Ruhaan Raj (8), and Karanveer Sharma (4) provided sturdy support, turning the innings into a batting blitz.

CBSE's bowlers struggled valiantly—Shrihan and Shaurya snaring one wicket each—but were otherwise pulverized by J&K's aggressive strokeplay.

Chasing 198, CBSE crumbled to 109 all out. Harsh*t fought top-scoring with 33, backed by Aviral (17) and Ksh*tiz (15), but J&K's bowlers struck relentlessly: Prabdeep Singh, Suhaib, and Fayiz Fayaz bagging 2 wickets apiece, with Rafid and Mujtaba Muzamil claiming one each.
