Reviews Assembly Organisation, Calls for Strong Booth-Level Cadre and People-Centred Work
Jammu, September 20: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Jammu and Kashmir UT President Rana chaired a review meeting of the party organisation in the Akhnoor Legislative Assembly Constituency, where emphasis was laid on strengthening the organisation from the grassroots and maintaining direct contact with the people.
Addressing the gathering, Darshan Rana stressed the need to further strengthen sector and booth committees and make the organisational structure active and effective at the grassroots level. He said that the strength of the organisation depends upon continuous contact with the people and understanding their day-to-day problems.
Rana called upon the workers and office-bearers to ensure that people’s genuine problems are taken up through proper democratic and constitutional channels and efforts are made to get their grievances resolved. He emphasised that BSP workers must remain connected with households and communities rather than limiting organisational activities to meetings alone.
Speaking on the upcoming 9 October Parinirvan Divas of Manyawar Kanshi Ram Ji, Darshan Rana said that the day would be observed as a Sankalp Divas. He called upon workers, supporters and their family members to participate in large numbers and reaffirm their commitment to the principles, social mission and ideology of Manyawar Kanshi Ram Ji.
Chand, Central Coordinator, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, emphasised the importance of strengthening the sector and booth-level organisation. He said that the BSP cadre should work as a bridge between the party and the people and should regularly visit households to understand and help raise their genuine problems.
Daya Chand further stressed that the cadre must educate people about the history, ideology and social movement of the BSP, particularly the struggle for equality, social justice and constitutional rights. He called for systematic political education of the cadre so that workers are able to communicate the party's historical contribution and mission effectively among the people.
The meeting also reviewed the functioning of sector and booth committees and stressed greater coordination, regular organisational activities and expansion of the membership and cadre base.
The BSP leadership called upon all workers to work with discipline, dedication and continuous public contact, keeping the issues and rights of ordinary people at the centre of organisational activities.
