I spent a good part of today following the protest out of curiosity.
What I expected to see was a political event. What I ended up seeing was something different—a gathering of ordinary citizens who cared enough to leave their homes, travel in the heat, and express their concerns.
Whether the crowd was large or small is for others to debate. What stayed with me were the stories and emotions of the people who came.
Today's event felt less like a protest and more like a reminder that governance affects people from every walk of life, and that many still believe their voice matters.
That, in itself, is worth reflecting upon.
