Posted • The Karnataka government has issued a warning after harmful colouring agents linked to cancer were found in 12 out of 235 cake samples from various Bengaluru bakeries.
What an extraordinary spectacle—our Prime Minister appears live, not to address pressing public health concerns, but to orchestrate a bizarre cacophony of clanging steel plates in the name of battling a global pandemic. Yet, we are still waiting for leadership on matters that truly affect our well-being, such as:
1. Addressing the rampant use of unsafe pharmaceutical tablets—how did these even receive approval in the first place, and why are they still in circulation?
2. Acknowledging the dangers of Teflon materials, known to increase cancer risks, yet they remain a staple in our households.
3. Taking decisive action against carcinogen-laden cakes—how can such harmful products still line our shelves, unchecked and unchallenged?
It is high time we prioritize what truly matters: the health and safety of the people over performative symbolism.
