Behind the scenes: The many moves behind for the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon 2026.

1) Wake up early. Really early. 5AM-early.
2) Gather your runners.
(We’re skipping the Marine Drive run).
3) Hit the studio at 11.
4) Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.
5) Take as many takes as it takes.
6) Extend your studio window by 3 hours.
7) Goof around. Go home late.
8) Hit the (other) studio.
9) Wait for the footage.
10) Go over the footage x 1000.
11) Clean up the footage.
12) Edit, edit, edit, edit.
13) Final result: one print ad to make Kochi run.

And now, we’re all set to on February 8 next year too. (Well, at least some of us are). You should sign up for the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon 2026 as well.

The designers had their say. Now the writers at want a word. The path to an approved headline is littered with many, many, many, many other lines that didn’t make the cut. Lines that didn’t pass the internal filter. Lines rejected by the boss, the client servicing team, the designer, or the random audience polled. Dejected, the writer goes back to the beginning. Finally, a line emerges. One that just feels like it could work. It reaches the client. Sometimes, it’s a green light from the get-go. More often, it’s: “Can we have some more options?” And sometimes, the brief changes entirely. Then we start over again.

The point of all this? It’s never “just a small line”.

has an epic story to tell. It spans 500 days, 4 continents, and 30-odd countries. Just him, his trusty-not-so-trusty bike, and the winding (often bumpy) roads that nearly broke him.

But this was the easy part. There’s another one that goes deeper; beyond miles, sights, visas, vegetarian food problems, and snapshots. This was a journey into the mind. A story about everything he left behind, and everything he unknowingly learned and unlearned in the process. It was about the moments of darkness, doubt, and loneliness that came before the moments of clarity and the exhilaration of self-discovery. And for Atul, this journey hasn’t really ended.

In _un-knowing-ly_ , opened up the side of his travel story that we’ve rarely seen. The session was special for another reason. It was the very first under our Thanathu initiative. And we’re only getting started; there are many more stories to come!Thank you to everyone who joined us for this moving evening of stories and stillness.

P.S. Any strong feelings of taking off into the unknown were intended but Weirdos, please keep those sabbatical plans on hold for just a little longer.

𝐴 𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑘 𝑏𝑦 𝐴𝑡𝑢𝑙 𝑊𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑟

A few years ago, Atul Warrier began to leave, following questions that wouldn’t go away. For over 500 days, across four continents and thirty-odd countries, he rode his 2001 Royal Enfield, trying to understand what it means to be at home, and what stays when everything else is gone.

In 𝑢𝑛-𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔-𝑙𝑦, Atul shares reflections from his journey; of leaving, of unlearning, of letting go, and of finding presence in what remains.

In a world that never stops changing, change is the only constant. It’s a cliché but like most clichés, it holds a lot of truth.
At Sensibly Weird Company, we recognise that truth and embrace it. Our 5th anniversary is the perfect day to share that something exciting is on the way.

Stay tuned...
