As ad film makers, we get many opportunities to work with stars and celebrities. But rarely do we get to make a film with real-life heroes.

Boon Me Films was blessed with such a rare opportunity. We were chosen to make an ad film with the real Manjummal Boys, whose tale of extraordinary friendship and courage became a huge box office legend.

When the Popular Group approached us to make a digital ad series featuring the real Manjummal Boys, we were thrilled. But along with it came an impossible target of finishing the project before the film was released on OTT.

It was daunting, but we took it upon us to do the impossible. After all the heroes of our film also did what was deemed undoable.

The brief was to combine the Boys' love for travel and the brand tagline 'Kuttukkaran Travels With You'.

We finished the script for a 3-minute film in a day.

Our team decided to sideline the typical glossy ad treatment and go for a more raw and organic mode.

We successfully finished the shoot on a shoestring budget in two days and completed the post production works in record time.

It was made possible by the wholehearted support from the technical team, the Popular management and above all the enthusiastic cooperation of the Real Manjummal Boys.

Proud Moment!

A long-cherished dream of Kochi residents have finally come to fruition. Yes, the Water Metro has been officially launched solving the transportation woes of tens of thousands of people who reside in the islands surrounding the city.
And it gives me great joy and pride to share with you that I and my production house BoonMee Films have been a part of this historic endeavour in a small yet significant way.
I got the golden opportunity to Produce, Script and Direct the docu-fiction on the Kochi Water Metro Project. Please enjoy the trailer of the film. Full video to be released soon!
Designed and built by Cochin Shipyard for KMRL, the Water Metro project is the first of it's kind in the world.
I would like express my sincere gratitude to Bini Joseph Puthen and Ajith Hariharan of B World Digital as well as Rohith and Ashley from Cochin Shipyard.
