shines as register thumping win

Abhishek Porel starred with the bat once again to not only rescue Bengal from a critical position but register a dominating 155-run victory over Andhra Blue in ACA Popular Cup U19 match today.

After bundling opponents for 192 runs in the first innings thanks to Toufik Uddin Mondal's 4-wicket haul Bengal once again got off to a shaky start with the bat.

In the second innings Bengal lost 4 early wickets for only 28 runs and Porel who starred in the first innings also with a brilliant 99 stepped in to play another gritty innings to arrest the slide.

Porel smashed 84 off 117 balls while Vineet Mourya's blistering 55 off 58 balls helped Bengal post fighting 221 all out.

After that Bengal bowlers ran riot to bundle Andhra for a paltry 119 runs and win the match.

Rohit Kumar and Toufik bagged two wickets apiece for Bengal.
