“Which was the first TV set in your house?” is doing rounds of the Internet since morning. Well, ours was a black & white Texla. With wooden cabinet and shutters that opened sideways.

What was yours?
My earliest memory of it is my dad following the olympics. Steffi Graf and Yelena Shushunova had become household names.
I do remember noticing the peculiar T with an elongated roof extending above the other letters in the Texla logo. It was probably the first logo I would draw in my notebooks absentmindedly. I didn’t even know it was called logo back then. 🤣
Every day I feel privileged to have opted my profession based on what I loved doing, since early childhood. 😍

Although it’s not necessary to put in the industry-identifiers in a logo, because the job of a logo is identification of a brand, it doesn’t hurt to use them if using them doesn’t hurt the design. I mean, never use a camera forcibly just because it’s a photographer logo. Or a chef hat if it’s a restaurant logo. But if you can marry the elements in a beautiful way, do it by all means.
