Quality over quantity. The expression is used so frequently that it occasionally loses its meaning. However, the fact that it is overwhelmingly true is the reason it is said so frequently. As it does in every area of marketing, quality over quantity applies to social media, too.
Here are three reasons why you should stop using every social media platform:
1. It is time-consuming: Managing several social media networks requires a huge amount of effort & time.
2. Your audience isn't everywhere: Every activity you conduct should be laser-focused on your main audience. Otherwise, you're wasting significant time and effort on a social media presence that may provide no tangible benefits.
3. You run the danger of spreading yourself too thin.
Your target audience isn't everywhere, but you should be present where potential clients are.
Remember that every post you share helps potential clients understand your company. "At least I'm posting something," is the least helpful attitude you could take.
So, to sum it up, no. Your business should not be on every social media platform.
