If your content isn’t stopping the scroll,
you’re probably missing one thing:
The enemy.
Every audience has one.
And the fastest way to grab attention
is to call it out.
Fitness audience?
The enemy = fat.
CPAs?
The enemy = IRS, taxes, compliance pressure.
Real estate buyers?
The enemy = inflated prices.
Notice something?
People don’t respond to:
“Here’s what we offer.”
They respond to:
“Here’s what’s hurting you.”
Because attention doesn’t come from information.
It comes from tension.
When you name the enemy, you create instant clarity:
“This is for me.”
And when you show how to defeat that enemy?
Now you have a hook.
Most content tries to educate.
Winning content agitates first.
It says:
“This is your problem.”
“This is what’s causing it.”
“And this is how you beat it.”
That’s what pulls people in.
So next time you’re writing:
Don’t start with your offer.
Start with the enemy.
