It's extremely irritating to see this running for 35 mins on a 101 degree day.
This is why we "always" demand that maintenance companies do a manual system test before they leave any site!!!
Doing that catches these kind of issues and immediately stops the massive water and $$$ waste!
Also, there's two 1 o'clocks on every clock, check that you are not running 1pm!
You'd think that's elementary but it happens everywhere in every state!

Honestly, do right for the "end user" and you'll gain more business and respect!

When you've got the right products to install and you don't use them, you've done your customer a disservice!
But damn if this set up here isn't perfect! makes the greatest emitter(s) on the market!
The Supertif side barb emitter hands down is superior to everything else.
Having your 1/4" tubing damn near touching the ground and your BarPeg stake installed at its correct depth, keeps the tubing nice and level and extremely easy to cover with your choice of mulch.

Contact your local irrigation distributor and have them bring in these products in stock for you!
Once you install these, you'll be impressed and your client(s) will be too!

Water Management 101

How to tell you're watering WAY too long?!
Washing the sidewalk is not your job as a homeowner.
The sheets of water running into the gutter and all the way down the block is a REAL good sign you're watering way too long!
On "average", soil can only absorb 5 minutes of water & the rest becomes runoff. Yes, different soils like sand can take 20 mins or more, but that is not the situation at hand.
The thought of more is better, does NOT apply here!
The simple solution is to learn "cycle & soak"!
Get your yard thatched and aerated. This'll help out tremendously.

At some point each city or municipality needs to work with a True water manager and Marketing team to put together a simple plan on how to water and maintain your yard. A few simple tips and tricks and all of a sudden thousands of gallons of water are saved, people's water bills will be lower & their lawns and plants will actually be better too!

What a difference precision irrigation makes!
Why people still even install pop up sprinklers on trees like this is mind numbing.
With these BarPeg stakes, white 1/4" tubes & the SuperTif side barb emitters, you cannot go wrong.
This tree is only 2 years old and is doing fantastic.
With a little bit of water management and the CORRECT irrigation equipment everyone can be successful and growing things!

Quick, simple but effective display of a typical above ground drip system set up. Yes it's missing the staples which you will need to hold it all in place.
What your seeing is;
Powerlock fittings,
Total CV .5gph 12" spacing tubing,
Manual shut of valve,
Auto flush valve.
All very very effective in keeping your system clean and operational.

We ALWAYS recommend installing a screen filter(minimum 120mesh) before any tubing. This helps keep debris from getting into the tubing to begin with. "Please check & clean" these filters every 3 months to 6 months to insure they're working at their best!

To pick these items up, stop by the Horizon store in Merced. Tell them you saw this here!
