Over the years, my work with young adults — and my own journey as a parent — has brought me back to one belief:

Everyone’s journey is their own.

Our young adults don’t need to have their whole life figured out. There is so much within them waiting to be discovered, explored, lived and owned — their strengths, interests, values, possibilities and their own way of showing up in the world.

And so, ACEYouth now evolves into a structured journey — from DISCOVERING to OWNING their Identity & Purpose.

A journey to understand what’s truly theirs, build their inner compass, make conscious choices, express themselves with confidence and create their own ’AND’ Life — ambition ’AND’ enjoyment, focus ’AND’ fun, independence ’AND’ connection.

And for us as parents, mentors and guides, perhaps our role is not to decide that journey for them, but to walk alongside them as saathis while they learn to navigate it themselves. 💙

A quiet child is not necessarily a well-raised child.

Good grades don’t tell you if they are okay.
Good manners don’t tell you if they feel heard.
Obedience doesn’t tell you if they trust you.

Sometimes, “My child listens to me” is actually a parent celebrating the absence of resistance.

But raising a child is not about creating someone who never challenges you.

It is about creating someone who knows they can challenge you without losing your love.

Because one day, you won’t be in the room when they have to make the big decisions.

What they carry from you then will matter far more than whether they listened to you today.

The first honest no of a young person's life is the moment her identity actually starts forming.

The small one where she says no to something the room expects her to say yes to. And the room gets a little quieter.
And she discovers, in that moment, that she doesn't actually dissolve.
Every version of her, from that day on, is downstream of that first no.
Parents — the small no you are tempted to over-explain her out of is the exact one to let her have.

There comes a point when you realise you can’t build a life entirely around other people’s expectations.

You’ll question things. Change your mind. Take a different path. Make choices that don’t always make sense to everyone around you.

That’s part of growing up.

Not having all the answers.
Just learning to trust your own judgement a little more.

As Independence Day approaches, here’s to the freedom to become- on your own terms. 🇮🇳

What I want every young person to know is this.
You don’t have to arrive somewhere impressive. You don’t have to have the plan. You just have to keep meeting yourself honestly.
Noticing what actually lights you up. Saying the small no when you mean it. Following the small yes even when it looks unimpressive from the outside.
That’s the identity work of these years. And it’s the only foundation a fully alive life ever gets built on.

If I had five minutes with my younger self, here's what I'd say.
Stop trying to impress the people who don't actually see you. They're not your audience. Save yourself for the ones who do.
Do the small honest thing today. That's how confidence is actually built — not in one dramatic decision but in ten quiet ones.
You're not late. You're not behind. You're becoming, right on time.

Confidence, on its own, is exhausting to keep performing. What isn’t exhausting is knowing yourself well enough that you don’t have to.
We don’t hand teenagers confidence. We help them meet themselves — and the confidence follows quietly.
