This lovely ad by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines makes us miss Holiday season already!

Not only a great initiative but also such an intelligent marketing strategy.

Photoshopped! But how we'd have loved a Twitter war! :P

Your Facebook and Instagram posts not receiving enough likes?

An undefined Target Audience might be the reason!

When using Social Media to market your brand, it is important that you define your target market & choose the right channels in order to reach them.
It will help you pinpoint your audience's needs and wants. You will be able to figure out what time you should send them an email, publish a blog post and when you should interact with them on social media.
If you plan your marketing strategies without having a target audience, you will fail to make an impact, and your content will fall onto deaf ears.

What you need to do is, define your consumers by age, demographic, interests and economic, social and psychological factors.
For eg.: Working individuals are most likely to access their social media accounts post work, so later in the evening is a more appropriate time to put up posts.

Make note of every detail & be as specific as possible. The more research you do and the more info you have about your audience, the better you will be able to get through to your audience.

You might feel that this would limit your audience, but when you define your target audience correctly and precisely, you focus your marketing efforts on the people who are most likely to buy your product / service, & therefore use your valuable resources in the best way possible.

How often do you post in a day?

Ideally, 1 post a day is enough.

Depending on the nature of your brand and its requirements you can upload up to 1-3 posts in a day making sure you have at least a 4-5 hour gap between your posts.

Hour gaps will ensure that your posts don’t get lost on your followers timelines and anything relevant you post will not go unnoticed.

All in all keep in mind:

Avoid posting too much and all at the same time.

Too many posts will only, discourage your followers from liking and engaging in your content, and eventually unfollowing you.

We as humans are drawn to visual content online in more ways than ever before.
No wonder, image-based social networking sites such as Pinterest and Instagram grow at rapid rates, and Facebook posts with pictures receive more engagement than posts without.

Which is why it’s extremely important that your visual content is high quality and relevant to create a relationship between a brand and its customers.
If your pictures don’t make the cut i.e. appear pixelated / grainy / dull, there’s a high chance your followers won’t even give your post a second look!

So here on, analyse your platforms and evaluate. Are you using pictures that make the cut?

Begin using high quality photos on your social media pages to help support your brand, increase your audience and engagement levels.

Include a caption with your photos and always include relevant links so you’re driving traffic back to your website.

Try it and don’t forget to use . We would love to see how you all are doing!
