The tea stall owner taught me a brutal truth about business.
Well, Over the last 1.5–2 years, many small real-life incidents have quietly shaped the way I think about business, customers, and growth. I’m now trying to put each of those lessons into words here.
A few months back, I stopped at a tea stall during a long drive.
The owner looked stressed.
I casually asked:
“Business slow today?”
He smiled and said:
“Sir, business is fine. But nowadays customers don’t want only chai. They want UPI, quick service, WhatsApp orders, Google reviews… everything.”
Then he said something powerful:
“Earlier, hard work was enough.
Now small businesses also need technology.”
That sentence stayed in my head.
Because this is exactly what thousands of businesses are facing today.
Not lack of effort.
Not lack of talent.
But lack of access to simple technology.
Most business owners want to grow.
But the moment they hear:
Software cost,
Monthly subscriptions,
Setup charges,
Training fees…
They step back.
Not because they don’t want technology.
But because survival comes first.
That’s when we realized something important:
India doesn’t need more complicated software.
India needs AI that feels easy, affordable, and risk-free.
That’s exactly why we made Richa AI and Restroworld completely free. (And all our Softwares like Red Restro and Shree Maha Lakshmi Krupa at almost 80% Off)
No heavy investment.
No complicated onboarding.
No pressure.
Because technology should help businesses breathe easier… not create more stress.
Sometimes the biggest market research doesn’t happen inside meeting rooms.
It happens over a ₹20 cup of chai.
