The Covid crisis in India is only getting worse and out of control. Although many countries and people are trying to help india by supplying oxygen india is having a logistical nightmare and are not able to meet the needs of the hospitals. People are dying each day when hospitals are running out of oxygen. There is a big problem also with Vaccines the country has run short of them and it is impossible to get a vaccination appointment. India has yet to vaccinate enough people over the age of 45 and have said that from May 1st all over 18 are eligible for vaccines. However if anyone over 18 when tries they can’t get an appointment. India was the saviour of the world and was supplying vaccines to so many countries without thinking about its own country. India has now stopped the export of vaccines but why so late.

The Indian Government has truely failed India. When will they get their act together. Thankfully they have invested in producing more oxygen right here in india but they need to fix their logistics issue and need to get the hospitals the supplies they need to treat the patients.

The total cases per day have decreased but I do not trust the numbers. I feel the real numbers are atleast 3 times more than what is reported. Each day 4000 lives are still recorded as being lost but again the real numbers are much higher. There is another crisis and getting creamation for the dead is now challenging as the number is just out of control and the creamation Centres can’t keep up with the demand.

I pray for India... I’m living in Mumbai where the surge is very high. We have no choice except to stay home and stay safe. My husband has had both vaccine shots but I’ve only had my first when I went To get my second dose they said they didn’t have any vaccines. Trying to get a new appointment but it’s still not available. Living here in this situation is so heartbreaking.

India is soaring again with Covid cases per day. Just yesterday it was over 185,000 cases. India had retaken the second spot overtaking Brazil. Just a week ago India’s numbers were so low being under 20,000 cases a day. This new surge brings new worries. I live in Mumbai and cases in Maharastra are the highest. We will not be leaving our home and will stay safe as we don’t want to take the risk. Would suggest the same for all those who are living in India. We have a new lockdown that lasts up to May 1st however if things don’t change the lockdown will surely be extended. Stay safe everyone in India.

India has been helping many countries with Covid 19 Vaccines. The latest news is a call from Justin Trudeau to Narendra Modi asking for vaccines for Canada. Modi has ageeed to help Canada with vaccines and now Justin Trudeau says if the world manages to conquer Covid it will be due to India. India has the largest drug manufacturing in the world. I’m so proud of India for helping so many countries.
