Did a tote painting workshop in Mankhurd, Mumbai with some lovely kids. It was messy, loud, and full of colour—just how it should be.

What stayed with me was how even a few hours of simply showing up, sitting with them, and creating together can mean a lot. It didn’t feel like a big thing, just something real, which keeps us grounded.

Couldn’t have done it without a very kind sponsor who chooses to be anonymous, and thanks to who volunteered to help me through it all.

Thanks to for the work they’re quietly doing every day.

If anyone feels like being part of something like this, there’s always room to do more.

Can I call myself an artist?

I often think.

I see people who create relentlessly—losing sleep, pushing boundaries, imagining beyond what exists. To me, they are artists.

And somewhere, I feel I haven’t reached that point yet.
I know creation in itself is art. But for me, the word “artist” carries a weight—a certain depth, a certain arrival. I can see the direction I want to move in. I know the standard I want to meet. And I know I’m not there yet.

Unfortunately there’s no hierarchy in art. And there is no fixed milestone, art like everything else is subjective.

But there is a point within—where conviction meets creation.
I’m still on my way there. I am aware of that point, and that itself is a journey.
Until I reach that point, I’ll keep showing up, keep creating, and keep moving closer to the artist I aspire to be.

Happy and proud that I completed this painting certificate course from JJ School of Art, Mumbai.

2 days, back to back, I hosted 3 workshops for 44 women in total. This was on March 8, 2026 at .haus.cafe Dadar, Mumbai.

They were Artful Sips', interactive creative experience, wherein I try to introduce how art can help sail through your difficult times.

There are phases in everyone's life when we self doubt, feel under confident, just surrounded by chaos. How each element, shape, color holds significance, and how to connect with your art is what I shared from my personal experiences. And in the process if you finish a painting it is just a bonus.

Art to me is profound beyond just painting. It keeps you grounded, calm, it teaches you how to be self-sufficient, how to enjoy your solitude, and much more, above all it is yours forever.

I thank everyone who attended my workshops, heartfelt gratitude 🙏

Wishing all a very happy Women's Day ❣️

As a professional eye we often see and are told to develop your style. I am work in progress. I am often in an ambivalent state of mind, because, as someone who loves to create, the most challenging task is to not try new things.

As a person whose one of the favourite quotes is 'When was the last time you did something for the first time' - Discovery Channel.

I love subtle colors as much as I love bold colors, I love urban contemporary work, and I also love intricate patterns. I love the madhubani, pichwade, warli, gond tribal artworks as much as the flowers, the architectural drawings.

To avoid this dilemma, I thought let me 'just keep doing' what I like, after all authenticity is also a key to an artwork. Hence in this painting, I used a balanced color palette, used pattern work and for the first time tried to incorporate traditional kantha work from West Bengal, India as the background.

Do share what you think of this art piece.

To create, brings joy to me. And in the quest to find my own style, I keep experimenting. This is my first miniature wooden houses storage box, with a theme of coastal styled homes.

The most difficult part was to get the customised wooden blocks as houses. Completely hand made, this is made from pine wood, acrylic paints, screens, old nuts, and marker pen.
