🏟️ Fans aren’t necessarily asking for more. They’re asking for better.
When it comes to improving the live sports experience, our research shows that some of the biggest opportunities are also among the most practical.
BARE International surveyed 1,320 sports fans across 101 countries to understand what would have the greatest impact on their experience at arenas and stadiums.
Here’s what fans said they want most:
⏱️ 29% — Shorter entry & security lines
🍔 28% — More affordable food & beverages
🚗 22% — Easier parking & transportation
💺 17% — Improved seating comfort
The message is clear: improving the fan experience doesn’t always mean introducing something new.
Sometimes, removing friction has more impact than adding new features.
From the moment fans arrive at a venue to the moment they leave, seemingly small inconveniences can shape how they remember the entire experience; and whether they want to return.
For clubs, leagues, venues, and event organizers, this creates a clear opportunity: identify the moments that create the most friction and make them easier, faster, and more enjoyable.
Because a better fan experience isn’t always about adding more.
Sometimes, it’s simply about making the basics work better.
If you could improve just one of these areas at your favorite sports venue, which would you choose? 👇
