[ SEO Made Simple ] Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs).
A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.
It uses over 40 different factors to give you a DA score.
But to give you an idea, websites like Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft (Bing) will have a high DA (between 95 and 100).
On the other hand, if your site is new, then your DA will be low (probably between 10 to 20)
It's easier to improve your site's DA if it's between 20 to 30 than 70 to 80. And to categorize what is good domain authority, consider these ranges:
> Below 30 is poor
> 30 to 40 is below average
> 40 to 50 is average
> 50 to 60 is good
> 60 to 70 is very good
> Above 80 is excellent
An important point to remember is that DA helps you predict your site's performance in search results.
So, it's better to use it for comparison with other websites in SERPs and then try to increase your DA to rank higher.
P.s: Because it's a comparative tool, there isn't necessarily a "good" or "bad" Domain Authority score.
