To upload documents for an Aadhar card update, follow these steps:
1. Visit the official Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal (SSUP)
Go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
2. Login to your Aadhaar account
Enter your Aadhaar number and CAPTCHA code.
Click on Send OTP to receive the one-time password on your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP and log in.
3. Choose the update option
Click on Update Aadhaar Online under "Update Aadhaar" services.
4. Select the details to update
Choose the fields you need to update, such as Name, Address, Date of Birth, etc.
Proceed to the next step.
5. Upload supporting documents
Based on the field you are updating, upload the valid supporting documents. Examples include:
Address Proof: Utility bills, bank statements, voter ID, passport, etc.
Date of Birth Proof: Birth certificate, SSLC certificate, passport.
Identity Proof: PAN card, voter ID, driving license, passport.
Upload the scanned copies of the documents in PDF format (size should not exceed 2 MB).
6. Review and pay the fee
Verify the details and upload confirmation.
Pay the online fee (₹50) using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
7. Receive acknowledgment
After payment, you’ll receive an Update Request Number (URN).
Use this number to track the update status on the Aadhaar portal.
Tips:
Ensure the uploaded documents are clear and legible.
Make sure your registered mobile number is active for OTP verification.
Once the update is processed, you’ll be notified via SMS, and you can download the updated Aadhaar card online.
