Chitrashala - The Gallery of Indian Graphics The Museum of Indian Graphic Art is a private museum of Sumant and Asha batra of Bollywood memorabilia and Indian vintage graphics from 19th-20th century

Chitrashala is a museum of rare vintage graphics from India, dating from the turn of the nineteenth century through the twentieth century. On display in its galleries are hundreds of dazzling masterpieces of visual art heritage from the personal collection of Sumant Batra. The stunning and curious graphics, rich and colourful in texture, offer a fascinating glimpse into the vast history of Indian

mainstream popular culture and its traditional novelties. The museum unfolds as a suggestive history of ephemera. Chitrashala is a humble effort by Sumant Batra to preserve and conserve the rich cultural medium of Indian graphic art. It’s our pleasure to share that Chitrashala is partnering with Google Arts & Culture on their Indian Railways Project . The association of Bollywood and Railways is very close . Who can forget the Iconic song of “Mere Sapano ki Rani “ from movie Aradhana 😍. Do check out the making of this song curated by Ashim Samanta ( son of Shakti Samanta) at Google art and culture site. You can also visit National Rail Museum and see the exhibits .
