Chronicles 01
I am doing this series as an attempt to document my observations at Sunder Nursery over the past 6 years while working in this space.

I have been working with Aga Khan Trust for Culture as a designer since 2018. I have seen Sunder Nursery transform since then. From having few regular visitors who had known about the park to now having 1 million visitors, we have crossed many such benchmark through the years.

It has been an enriching experience to see how different people use this space. Not just people the birds and natural wildlife who are all part of its ecosystem.

Day 2: Goddess Brahmcharini

She is the Maa of austerity and penance as her name Brahmcharini represents the female who practices Brahmcharya (renunciation from worldly pleasures). She walks on bare feet, carrying a japa mala in her right hand and kamandalu in her left hand. She endows her devotees with grace, blissfulness, peace and prosperity.

White is the colour of Brahmcharini synonyms with purity, inner peace and sacredness.

Navratri: 9 Goddess.

Shailputri is one of the most divine forms of Goddess Durga. She is one of the Navadurgas who is worshipped on the first day of the Navratri festival.

The goddess is represented with a crescent moon on the forehead, trident in right and a lotus on the left hand. She rides on the nandi bill.
Colour orange is devoted to the day of Shailaputi. It represents enthusiasm, success and happiness.
