Enjoy the tricolor of India –Vande Matram
India got it’s independence from the rule of British on 15th August over the rule period of 200 years. On 15th august 1947, the British rulers handed the country back to Indian leaders, ending the remarkable struggle which lasted for many years. Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru unfolded the tricolor flag of the nation on the glorious Red fort.
Significance of 15th august in India
After the freedom fighting finally at midnight of 15th august 1947 , Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru read independence day speech titled : “Tryst with destiny” in which he gave importance for new India free from ill fortune. He was a good orator. The speech focused on various topics related to India that how they become free from the Britishers. The speech focused and encouraged countrymen to work for a better nation. There were many social ills prevailing in the society in the form of illiteracy, poverty, poor health condition etc. the message was to eradicate these social evils to make India a prosper country. He also pays tribute to various freedom fighters who had sacrificed their life in the purpose to attain freedom. Lastly, he urged people to show confidence in national leaders.
15th August celebration in India – with zeal and deal
Every year Indian celebrates Independence Day with so much enthusiasm. The day is celebrated by all proud Indian as a national holiday. The national Flag files high and proud from the tops of schools and official buildings. Speeches are given, the National Anthem is sung, and sweets are distributed among everyone. The venue of main celebration is Red fort, in capital city Newdelhi with the unfolding of tricolor national flag by Prime minister of nation followed by television speech. The speech generally reflects the present condition of nation along with the achievements in previous years and future development plans. . A large number of people from all over the country gather in the parade Ground to hear him. A tribute is paid by prime minister to freedom fighters of India followed by colorful patriotic programs.
The Independence Day reminds us all that we are the citizens of a great country, and we must do our best to preserve her unity. We must respect our National Flag and National Anthem. We must also try to be patriotic like the people who fought for the freedom of our country. Let us all be proud of India.
