Whenever someone lands 🛬 on your profile, the first thing they see is your bio.
Your Instagram bio is like your Business Card, Shop button or newsletter form.
So, it is important to make sure every part of your Instagram profile is simple, clear, and approachable, and will help your potential audiences understand who you are and what you do.
It's tiring 😵, I get you I was in the same place when I started optimising. We only get 150 characters in bio to engage with potential audiences. I researched and found out basic optimising ☺️ tips.
1️⃣ Profile Picture: Use an image that is the best representation of you and your business.
2️⃣ Username: Username is also known as a "Handle". Use a simple, searchable, and recognisable name avoid using
and >
3️⃣ Name: Bold text in your bio is searchable, make sure you include your specialty. So, that your followers and other people can find you easily.
4️⃣ Describe your (Brand) mission: Tell people how you can help them, so that they know from the first sight what you do and for whom you do.
5️⃣ Call to action: Your CTA should urge your audience to take action.
6️⃣ Website (URL): Add one or more links (using third party app linktree ), use limited URL as usage of too many URLs will confuse the audience.
Be sure to include emoji's🥰, many words can be represented by one emoji.
Personally, I like to change twice a month a bit to avoid redundancy😎.
