“Can we make it go viral?”
If you work in social media, chances are you’ve heard this one before. 😅
And yes, every brand wants that one post that suddenly takes off.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Going viral and getting results are not the same thing.
A million views can look impressive on a report.
But if the people watching aren’t your audience, don’t trust your brand and have absolutely no reason to buy from you…
what exactly did those views achieve?
Good content isn’t just about getting attention.
It’s about getting the right attention.
So before chasing the next viral reel, ask:
Who are we trying to reach?
What do we want them to remember?
What action do we want them to take?
And how does this content support the business?
Because the best social media strategy isn't:
“Make us viral.”
It’s:
“Make us impossible for the right people to ignore.”
What’s the most unrealistic social media request you’ve heard from a client? 👀
Drop it in the comments. Let’s talk.
