Say Hello to Jui Anvar, founder of ‘A Dot’, in Pune. Jui is an artist and a graphic designer who designs and sells a wide range of illustrated products. Her products include coffee mugs, beer mugs, metal bottles, coasters, t-shirts, wall frames, etc.

The roots of Jui’s idea go back to the time she was completing her graduation in Painting. She wished to turn her art into something that could be used or worn. According to her, it gave personality to the things around. She wanted to kill the monotony of everyday things and create something that had a vibe of its own.

Jui entered the market with her very own range of diaries and soon diversified into an array of products. Each design is hand-painted by her, which is later digitalized according to the product needs. Jui feels that this makes her brand different as a lot goes into each design. Jui now has a collection of over 200 designs.

Jui’s biggest hurdle was carving a niche for herself. Illustrations are an objective form of art and a large group of people does not relate to the designs. Jui ensures that her designs cater to the needs of both these groups and suites their individual taste.

Like every other small business, surviving the pandemic was a task. Her vendor closed down for almost 2 years and getting orders became difficult. But Jui’s grit and determination kept her going and she survived the lows in her business. In a short span of 3 years, Jui has successfully delivered over 200 products.

Jui’s determination led her to creating a place for herself in this saturated market. Show some love by commenting with a 🤗 emoji.

Say Hello to Aditi, a passionate Green Space Stylist who gives beautiful makeovers to balcony and terrace gardens, conducts corporate workshops, and curates DIY kits under her brand name, The Greenish Affair.

After a 7-year career in Media & Communication, Aditi found it difficult to manage work when she became a mother. She tried working from home but it did not give her the same happiness. Aditi was diagnosed with postpartum depression soon after. She started using gardening and home decor as coping mechanisms and gave new looks to her home and balcony.

Soon enough a friend reached out to her for a balcony makeover and this led to the start of her entrepreneurial journey! She left her job in January 2020 just before the country went into lockdown and worked towards building her brand full time. After completing more than 12+ projects, she finally registered her firm in January 2021.

Similar to all start-up journeys, Aditi faced a lot of challenges and hurdles in the beginning. People wanted an eco-friendly space but weren't ready to pay fairly. However, Aditi did not lose hope and kept working to build a strong and niche clientele for The Greenish Affair.

“What makes us different from the others is how we achieve functionality along with the aesthetics, in every space we create. We take pride in the diverse design options we offer and ensure that each design is unique,” says Aditi.

Entrepreneurs like Aditi are true inspirations. We admire her spirit and wish her luck in all future endeavors!

Anti-marketing defies conventional marketing tactics and messages. As the name suggests, anti-marketing messages tell a consumer not to buy their product. Brands use humor and self-jokes to connect with the consumers. These messages intrigue the consumers and attract them to the brand.

Zomato's anti-marketing campaign provides schooling to other brands and provides an excellent example for the same.

Rakhi is a sacred thread that commemorates the everlasting bond between a brother and a sister. A bond which survives the ity-bitty pranks, complaints and tears. It seals a brother's promise to always protect the one he loves the most.

Say hello to Srishti and Aastha, a young entrepreneur duo from Delhi, who own a stationery and branding business - Ode Studio!

What brought these two young women together was their love for planning and organizing. They often spent time designing their own To-do lists and planners to help them get through college. This passion evolved into a business when they decided to make planners for their juniors to help them with their academics.

Ode Studio first launched 20 products on their website and sold a whopping 600 units of their products in the first year. They soon diversified into designing, helping brands with identity design, logo design and font design. They also work on cute and quirky collateral such as Thank You cards and gift boxes.

The main hurdle faced by these young entrepreneurs was managing their finances. The transition from pre to post Covid period also took a toll on their plans. But these young women never gave up and fought all odds to make their vision a success.

Srishti and Aastha strongly believe, “Age is never a barrier and one shouldn’t be afraid of starting early. Take the leap of faith and you’ll prosper. Don’t wait for tomorrow, make that day, today!”

We adore such young and confident entrepreneurs and wish them luck in their future endeavors.

This time in the series, we bring to you the story of an 18-year-old home-baker and entrepreneur, Namrata Karani!

Born and brought up in a small town called Warangal in Telangana, Namrata had always been pursuing baking as a hobby until the break of the pandemic. Seeing such large numbers of people suffer due to Covid broke her heart and she decided to do something on her own to contribute.

Under her brand, Ovenly, Namrata started off by selling cookies and soon added muffins and cakes to her menu. She donated all the proceeds from her bakery sales to covid relief work, which was a whopping 41K INR!

As a young home-baker operating in a small town, Namrata faced many hurdles when it came to finding buyers at her price range. Skeptical at first, they, however, came around after giving her goodies a try, and seeing the hard work she puts into making each creation look perfect.

In a short span of time, Namrata has successfully delivered more than 200 cakes and 500 cupcakes. And she keeps adding more customers to her clientele base each day. Big kudos to Namrata for turning her passion into a service for the greater good of the needy!

Happy Friendship Day, everyone!

On this Friendship day, we bring to you the most unexpected friendship of all - Burger King and McDonald's.

Burger King launched a 'A Day Without Whopper Campaign' where they stopped selling their most popular burgers, The Whopper, for a day. This was done especially to try and increase sales of Big Mac Burgers from McDonald's for that day, since McD donates all their Big Mac sales from that day to help children with cancer. Burger King encouraged customers to go buy the Big Mac and even sent their mascot to McD to increase the impact of the campaign.

This gesture of 'Friendship' was Burger King's way of showing support to the campaign, which was a lovely and big-hearted move on their part!

The fast-food giants, Burger King, and Mc Donalds are well known for their rivalry. The brands miss no chance at taking digs at each other on social media.

The campaign helped Mc Donalds sell around 73,000 more Big Macs than before and helped Burger King win hearts all over the internet.
