When I started my brand I knew I wanted to do one thing and that was to disrupt everyone else in my competitive space and be strikingly unique, both on social and on other marketing mediums. It wasn't always clear in the beginning but this brand / theme / style evolved as I went.
-
My personality is naturally rebellious, loud, energetic, polarising and disruptive so I wanted both a brand and a team of people who would work with me that share similar values.
-
I've had a few hundred people copy my style, colours, imagery & every day I'm seeing people steal my work and posting it on other platforms. Initially this all pi**ed me off that many people were essentially a copy-cat of my work, that this was a reflection of my beliefs, values and culture. I then had to realise that this must be having an impact on people if they wanted to copy everything I do.
-
My point is this, good branding is contagious. It hits people hard enough that they decide to embody it into their life in some way and that's the beautiful component of a strong brand (the impact it has on people)
-
My intention here is for you to understand the impact something new, unique and bold can have. Stop playing it safe, stop following the trends and find your own path.
