For 34years, this procession was banned by the government using different excuses. Many young men were beaten, many were thrown in jail. A lot of them lost their eyesight, and many were injured.

But Molvi Abbas Ansari never gave up. For those 34 years, people kept coming out. They endured everything but did not lose courage. And finally, the government gave its approval.

Kudos to all those who sacrificed so much for this procession.
