LG Manoj Sinha Leads Mega Anti-Drug Padyatra in Bandipora, Says Narco-Terror Networks Being Crushed

J&K United Against Drugs, No Smuggler Will Be Spared: LG Sinha

Srinagar, May 25:(KNC) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday led a massive anti-drug Padyatra in Bandipora, reiterating the administration’s firm resolve to eliminate narco-terrorism and dismantle drug trafficking networks across Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a large gathering during the march, the Lieutenant Governor said Jammu and Kashmir is united and determined to free society from the menace of drugs and protect the future of youth.

“Forty-five days ago, I pledged not only to dismantle the ecosystem of drug smugglers and narco-terrorists, but also to launch a movement aimed at restoring dignity to families devastated by addiction,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor asserted that the ongoing crackdown against narco-terrorists and drug peddlers would continue relentlessly until the entire network is wiped out from Jammu and Kashmir.

“The action against narco-terrorists and drug smugglers will continue with full force. No drug smuggler, peddler, or anyone trying to poison society is beyond the reach of law. Our agencies have launched an unprecedented drive against narco-terror networks,” he said.

He further stated that several hidden drug supply chains are being identified and dismantled, while drug cartels operating for decades are now being systematically destroyed.

“We have sent a strong message that Jammu and Kashmir will never become a safe haven for those who profit from the suffering of families. Strict action is being taken, youth are being protected, and hope is returning to society,” the Lieutenant Governor added.

Highlighting rehabilitation initiatives, the Lieutenant Governor said the administration will soon introduce a comprehensive rehabilitation policy to help drug-affected youth return to mainstream life.

“Our aim is to ensure that not a single young person is left behind. We will provide employment opportunities, skill development, education, and support systems to help affected youth rebuild their lives with dignity,” he said.

He emphasized that the success of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir would not only be measured by arrests, but also by the number of lives restored and dreams fulfilled.

Calling for collective public participation, the Lieutenant Governor said the government alone cannot win the battle against drugs and appealed to families, teachers, religious leaders, and civil society to actively support the campaign.

“I envision a Jammu and Kashmir where every child grows up free from addiction, where families remain safe, and where society progresses with dignity and security. Together, we must unite to eliminate narco-terror forever,” he said.

On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor also inaugurated the Waqar Knowledge Centre – Engaging Youth Against Drug Abuse in Bandipora under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The Centre has been established to support rehabilitation and reintegration of recovering addiction cases by providing constructive engagement opportunities for youth. It includes a sports corner, badminton court, reading library, and an information desk offering guidance on education, employment, skill development, and government welfare schemes.

The administration plans to establish similar Waqar Knowledge Centres in every block of Bandipora district to strengthen community resilience and empower youth against substance abuse.(KNC)

**Dr. Khwaja Farooq Renzushah's Address at the Spiritual Congregation on the Sacred Day of 7th Sharief at the Holy Shrine of Bulbulshah**

**Illuminating the Magnificence of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Bulbulshah's Legacy of Tasawuf in Kashmir**

Greater Srinagar— 24/5/26 — Today, at the revered shrine of Hazrat Abdul Rahman Bulbulshah, who illuminated Kashmir with the radiant light of Hanafi Tasawuf in 1321, Dr. Khwaja Farooq Renzushah delivered an inspiring address that underscored the significance of Bulbulshah’s arrival. He emphasized Bulbulshah’s historical importance, who safeguarded Kashmir through his spiritual powers amidst the savage onslaught of the Mongol terror led by Zulqader Khan Dalcha.

Bulbulshah, a distinguished spiritual scholar of noble descent linked to Abdul Rahman Khurasani, the 8th-century governor of Khurasan, played a pivotal role in fortifying the civilization of Kashmir. He transformed Kashmir into a cradle of knowledge through Hanafi Tasawuf. Seventy years later, Shah Hamdan exalted this same knowledge, while King Rinchenshah and Begum Kota Rani established the foundational principles of cultural amalgamation and religious unity in Kashmir, demonstrating remarkable courage against Dalcha's tyranny, ultimately achieving a miraculous triumph.

As the chairman of Tahreek e Dawat e Tasawuf, Jamat Aitqaad Hanafia, and Hazrat Bulbulshah Trust, Renzushah addressed a distinguished assembly of scholars, Naat reciters, Darood reciters, ulma's , Imams, and devoted disciples at the holy gathering. During his address, Dr. Renzushah praised the Hanafi Tasawuf scholars and stressed that both Hazrat Bulbulshah and Hazrat Shah Hamdan imparted vital teachings of Fiqh and communal harmony—foundational principles of Tasawuf in Kashmir. He highlighted the arrival of Amir e Kabir, who, inspired by Bulbulshah’s teachings, conducted 40 sama Saadar sessions of his spiritual Masnavi, Chahal Israr. Notably, Amir e Kabir referred to Bulbul as the "Bulbul of Heaven," showcasing the deep respect and veneration Shah Hamdan held for him, continuing their rich spiritual teachings.

Renzushah remarked on the profound connection shared among the great Awaliyas, likening it to a "chain of pearls," as exemplified by Sheikh ul Aalam Nooruddin Nund Rishi, who upheld the wisdom and teachings endorsed by Bulbulshah and imparted knowledge of the seven Rishis' orders in Kashmir. Although many perceive Sheikh ul Aalam as the 7th Reshi.

A significant feature of the event was the interactive Q&A and open-mic engagement after every session, allowing participants to directly interact with the panelists. This added depth to the program by ensuring that the event remained not merely speaker-centric, but genuinely youth-centered and participatory.

Kashmir Youth Parliament stated that the program was designed to cultivate a generation that can think critically, engage responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to the future of society. By bringing together mentorship, ideas, and dialogue under one platform, the initiative seeks to inspire youth not only to dream, but also to debate, develop, and deliver.

The event reflected the growing need for intellectual forums in Kashmir that invest in the transformation of young minds through conversation, exposure, and guided engagement. Kashmir Youth Parliament reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such platforms in the future to strengthen youth leadership, civic understanding, and idea-driven growth.
