Flu Cases Rise: Don’t Send Sick Children to School, Warns Pulmonologist

Srinagar, Aug 25: Amid rising influenza cases, pulmonologist Dr Naveed has urged people not to take flu symptoms lightly. He advised wearing masks in crowded places, maintaining hand hygiene, keeping rooms ventilated and getting annual flu vaccination, especially for high-risk groups.

He stressed that children showing flu symptoms should not be sent to school and patients should isolate to prevent further spread.

“There is no need to panic, but people must be extra cautious. Prevention is better than cure,” Dr Naveed said.
