What is Copywriting?
People often get copywriting, content marketing, and content writing all mixed up. Even though they have some similarities, copywriting and content marketing are not the same. And anyone who wants to become a copywriter needs to know what it means.
Simply put, copywriting is writing content to market and promote a service, product, or business. The goal is to get people to do something, like sign up for the newsletter or buy the product. The job of the copywriter is to make the copy, or the content, as convincing as possible.
Copy can be written in different ways, but all of them are meant to get customers or other important people to do something. Here are some of them:
Emails
Letters
E-books
Website copy
White papers
Blogs
Copywriting is persuasive and has a strong call to action (CTA) compared to advertising writing. It is known as a soft-selling strategy that keeps the product in people's minds. As digital marketing has gotten better, copywriting has started to lose some of its importance. But it is still important for businesses that want to increase their conversion rates.
