After Bridge Tragedy, Heavy Vehicles Barred from Umeta Route

It took the tragic collapse of the Mujpur Bridge near Padra, claiming over nine lives, for authorities to finally take swift action. In response to the Gambhira Bridge incident, officials have now banned heavy vehicles from using the Umeta Bridge as a precautionary measure. The decision aims to prevent another disaster. Meanwhile, light vehicles are being allowed to use the Umeta route as a temporary alternative until the damaged Gambhira Bridge is repaired or replaced.

Women Arrested for Purse Thefts in Trains at Vadodara Station

Two women, Bindu Ninamma and Sunita Meda from Dahod, were arrested for stealing purses from female passengers in crowded trains at Vadodara railway station. The arrests followed a complaint by Hemanth Kumar, whose daughter-in-law's purse was stolen. Railway police recovered the stolen items from the suspects.

વડોદરા રેલવે સ્ટેશન માં ટ્રેનો માં ગિરદી નો લાભ ઉઠાવી મહિલા મુસાફરો ના પર્સ ની ચોરી કરતી બે મહિલાની અટકાયત કરવામાં આવી હતી. રેલવે પોલીસે દાહોદ ના બિંદુ નિનામા અને સુનિતા મેડા ની અટકાયત કરી ચોરી નો મુદ્દામાલ રિકવર કર્યો હતો. મહત્વનું છે કે હેમંત કુમાર નામના ફરિયાદી એ પુત્રવધૂ નું પર્સ ચોરી થયાની ફરિયાદ રેલવે પોલીસ માં નોંધાવતા પોલીસે તપાસ હાથ ધરતા બે મહિલા ચોરીના મુદ્દામાલ સાથે પકડાઈ હતી.

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी आज पश्चिम बंगाल में 15,400 करोड़ रुपए के कई प्रोजेक्ट्स का उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास करेंगे। इनमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण प्रोजेक्ट कोलकाता में देश की पहली अंडरवाटर मेट्रो का उद्घाटन है। इसके बाद वे उत्तर 24 परगना जिले के बारासात में एक जनसभा को भी संबोधित करेंगे। इसके अलावा मोदी रामकृष्ण मिशन सेवा प्रतिष्ठान भी जाएंगे।
1984 में देश की पहली मेट्रो ट्रेन कोलकाता उत्तर-दक्षिण कॉरिडोर (ब्लू लाइन) में दौड़ी थी। 40 साल बाद एक बार फिर यहीं से देश की पहली अंडरवाटर मेट्रो रेल चलेगी। यह मेट्रो जमीन से 33 मीटर नीचे और हुगली नदी के तल से 13 मीटर नीचे चलेगी।
इसके लिए हावड़ा स्टेशन से महाकरण स्टेशन तक 520 मीटर लंबी टनल बनाई गई है, जिसमें दो ट्रैक बिछाए गए हैं। मेट्रो ट्रेन इस टनल को 80 किमी/घंटे की रफ्तार से सिर्फ 45 सेकेंड में पार कर लेगी। इससे हावड़ा और कोलकाता की कनेक्टिविटी बेहतर होगी। रोज 7 से 10 लाख लोगों का सफर आसान होगा।
