The approval by Captain Adnan Darjal for the Iraqi national team to wear the Sumerian cuneiform tie at the 2026 World Cup reflects pride in Iraq’s ancient civilization.
The idea by archaeologist Amer Abdul Razzaq, with the distinctive design by artist Amir Sukr, represents a cultural identity that every Iraqi is proud of.
The most beautiful part is Iraqis taking pride in their authentic heritage and carrying the legacy of civilization to the world.
This is Iraq… civilization, identity, and pride.

"With faithful hearts, the Church mourns the passing of Father Pierre Al-Raai, parish priest of Al-Qlaiaa, who was martyred during the shelling of his town. He embodied the true shepherd by remaining steadfast with his people until his final breath. We pray for the repose of his soul and the healing of the wounded, asking God for peace in Lebanon. A tribute of honor and pride to the women of Assyria
the granddaughters of Semiramis.
To the devoted mother, the mother of the martyr,
and the Assyrian fighter guardian of land and identity.
To the church deaconesses, teachers of our schools and language, the women who raise generations, and the Assyrian artists. A salute to every Assyrian woman proud of her heritage, and to the authentic women of Mesopotamia. Our women our pride, strength, and hope.

تحية إجلال واعتزاز لنساء آشور، حفيدات شميرام؛
للأم الصابرة، وأمّ الشهيد، وللمقاتلة حارسة الأرض والهوية.
