My second submission for 's Designerrrs community logo design challenge.

I've utilised a shield, a droplet and a double helix to create a brand mark and matching text that demonstrate the connection between life and science. The colour palette I chose is a purple base to create a feeling of calm and compassion between the company and their customers.

I've tried to demonstrate the logo suite's usage across multiple mediums including packaging, lab reports as well as investor decks and digital platforms.

This was super fun to work on and we find out the winner early next week!

Very much a work in progress, but introducing Wobl Sans! A typeface that started as a rejected client idea and has now landed firmly in "ideas I might actually see through" territory!

Inspired by the ripples in water, Wobl Sans uses perfect circles paired with some cute wiggly lines to create a fun and modern display font.

Still got plenty of work to do with upper and lowercase options, numbers and those pesky symbols but thought I'd share where I'm up to!

For day 1 of .au I thought I would share my redesign of my very first logo I made at college.

10 years ago I created a logo for a fake business called "Crave Cake Bar" (last slide). It was for an assignment and I had just learned (that week!) that "real" designers didn't use Photoshop to create their logos. I was using illustrator for the first time, wrapping my head around the pen tool and what a vector even was.

The old logo has charm but it's definitely a little dated and has a few fundamental design flaws that I wouldn't let pass today.

The redesign features a cute chunky typeface with a bite taken out of it. The action lines help trick the eyes into filling the negative space of the letter to increase readability. The new icon is a merge of the old mark to represent a coffee with a slice of cake taken out of it. The variations of the logo help it be used in any size, format and background.

Latest work for a new business out of Sydney.

Based on the art piece created for the co-founder, these designs bring together the intricate curves and organic shapes of the original art by Stewart James - a Wiradjuri man into a simplified branding package that will stand the test of time.
