Every olfactory branding project begins with a question: how should a brand be experienced through the scent?

The answer takes shape through research, evaluation, and the careful development of an olfactory identity designed to reflect a brand’s character, values, and atmosphere.

From there, scent can evolve into different forms:

✨ A bespoke olfactory identity developed for a space.
✨ Professional diffusion systems integrated within hospitality, retail, and corporate environments.
✨ Scented collections that extend the experience into objects and rituals.
✨ Immersive sensory experiences designed around memory, interaction, and emotion.

At Scent Company, these dimensions are approached as part of one coherent olfactory language, developed to strengthen identity, atmosphere, and emotional perception.

From fragrance creation to sensory experience.
From identity to atmosphere.

Scent is increasingly becoming part of the language through which interiors are experienced.

Alongside materials, light, textures, and proportions, fragrance contributes to the atmosphere and emotional perception of a space.

For Elli Fratelli , fragrance was developed as part of this dialogue, integrated discreetly within the environment to complement the refined and timeless design.

Created to exist with discretion and continuity, elegant rattan diffusers became part of the interior composition, carrying an olfactory profile shaped by luminous spices, delicate leather facets, precious woods, and a warm amber-musky depth.

One of the most interesting developments in contemporary perfumery is the growing appreciation for nuance.

After years dominated by intensity, projection, and immediate impact, we are seeing a shift toward compositions that are softer, more textured, and designed to unfold gradually over time. The emphasis is moving from presence to atmosphere, from volume to emotional resonance.

This evolution feels particularly relevant within the field of olfactory branding.

A successful scent for a space does not necessarily need to be the most noticeable element. On the contrary, its value often lies in its ability to integrate naturally with architecture, materials, light, and human interaction.

The most memorable olfactory identities are rarely those that dominate a space. They are the ones that create a sense of harmony, reinforce perception, and become part of the overall experience without demanding attention.

As brands continue to focus on creating meaningful and emotionally engaging environments, subtlety is becoming not a limitation, but a strategic strength.

For Kettal , scent was conceived as part of the showroom’s spatial identity, developed in continuity with the brand’s design language and its approach to contemporary outdoor living.

Introduced during Salone del Mobile and continuing beyond the event, the olfactory experience accompanies the space through a profile shaped by green freshness, soft aromatic nuances, delicate florals, and warm woody-musky depth.

The composition was calibrated to move naturally through the environment, in dialogue with materials, natural light, proportions, and the fluid relationship between interior and exterior living.

Not a separate element, but a discreet atmospheric presence designed to reinforce the sensory character of the showroom over time.

An olfactory layer integrated within the design experience.

Tomato leaf is one of perfumery’s most recognisable green notes.

Vegetal, vivid, slightly sharp.

It evokes stems, leaves warmed by sunlight, summer gardens, and the gesture of touching the plant itself before the fruit.

In fragrance composition, tomato leaf brings freshness with texture and realism. immediate, familiar, and closely connected to memory.

A green note that rarely feels abstract.

Almost everyone remembers it.

The scent of tomato holds a distinctive place within the sensory language of Italian culture.

The freshness of tomato leaves.
The green brightness released when opening a freshly prepared sauce.
The subtle acidity of pulp still touched by sunlight.

For Mutti during Fuorisalone 2026, scent became part of the installation as an atmospheric gesture connected to one of the brand’s most recognisable sensory universes.

Developed in collaboration with Master Perfumer Sileno Cheloni , the project unfolded through two complementary olfactory directions, translating the sensory world of Mutti tomato, from vivid vegetal freshness to softer, pulp-like nuances.
The experience was brought to life through Scent Company’s professional diffusion systems, designed to integrate the fragrances naturally within the installation and shape an immersive sensory atmosphere.

The role of scent within spaces is evolving.

Increasingly, fragrance is considered alongside architecture, materials, lighting, acoustics, and emotional perception, as part of a wider sensory strategy.

The conversation is moving beyond fragrance as a decorative layer or atmospheric finishing touch.

Instead, scent becomes part of the creative dialogue that shapes how a space is experienced, remembered, and emotionally understood.

The question is no longer simply:

“What smells pleasant?”

But rather:

“What should this space communicate through atmosphere, materiality, and sensory perception?”

At Scent Company, this perspective guides our approach to olfactory branding. Every project begins with both the brand and the space, its architecture, materials, function, audience, and emotional intention. From there, we develop olfactory identities designed to exist in harmony with the environment and reinforce brand perception through sensory language.

During Milano Design Week 2026, explored the relationship between surface, texture, and atmosphere through an immersive spatial installation.

Within this context, Scent Company developed a bespoke sensory experience in which fragrance became part of the material narrative itself.

Five distinct olfactory directions accompanied visitors through the installation translating warmth, vegetation, freshness, essential forms, and luminous lightness into atmospheric impressions.

Rather than decorating the environment, fragrance acted as an additional reading layer – extending the experience of materials beyond the visual.

A project where scent became part of the language of the space.

If May could be described through flowers, this would be our selection.

Rose Centifolia, Jasmine Sambac, Peony, and Linden Blossom - blossoms that return quietly each year, shaping the atmosphere of the season through soft floral traces and subtle presence.

Rose Centifolia is harvested each spring in Grasse, where its petals are still gathered by hand in the early morning hours.

Originally cultivated across India and Southeast Asia, Jasmine Sambac releases its scent more intensely with the warmth of evening air.

Linden Blossom often recalls familiar memories of late spring, when its delicate honeyed scent begins to drift unexpectedly through the streets.

Peony, with its soft and almost airy character, remains one of the season’s most fleeting floral impressions.

Furniture defines space through form, proportion, and material. At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, Bontempi expressed a vision of design rooted in balance, precision, and timeless elegance.

Within this context, the brand’s olfactory signature was diffused as part of the spatial experience, integrated in continuity with its design language.

A composition where warm spices introduce a sense of energy and movement, evolving into a structured heart of woods and amber, and settling into a soft, enveloping base.

Through calibrated diffusion, the olfactory presence accompanies the space without altering its balance, extending perception through a discreet and continuous layer.

A design language that speaks through form.
An atmosphere that completes it.
