A new chapter in digital textile innovation begins in Como.

On 4 June 2026, Durst Group will mark an important milestone with the official Groundbreaking Event for Durst Como in Luisago, a new production and innovation hub dedicated to digital textile printing.

Located at the heart of one of Europe’s most influential textile districts, Durst Como reinforces the strategic importance of Como as a reference point for the future of textile manufacturing. The new site reflects Durst’s continued investment in innovation, industrial excellence, and the evolving connection between digital printing, production systems, and the global fashion ecosystem.

The event will bring together industry leaders, partners, and experts to explore the evolution of textile manufacturing, from technological transformation to the role of innovation in shaping next-generation production models. The programme will culminate in the official ceremony and groundbreaking moment, followed by a moment of exchange and networking.

As Durst continues to advance its presence in digital textile printing, Durst Como stands as a tangible expression of this long-term vision: where engineering, creativity, and industrial scalability converge.

FESPA 2026 is in the books and what a moment it was.

Barcelona gave us an incredible backdrop for a few unforgettable days with the global print community. The energy, the conversations, and the shared excitement around what is next for our industry made it truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to FESPA Global Print Expo for bringing everyone together in such a powerful way. It was a privilege to be part of a space where innovation, craftsmanship, and vision come together so naturally.

We were proud to showcase the world of Durst and introduce KYVERIS, our continuously learning print production intelligence system built on nearly a century of engineering excellence. Seeing such strong engagement around the system was a real highlight of the show.

From live demonstrations to deep conversations with partners, customers, and industry leaders, every moment reflected how fast the future of print is evolving and how exciting that future feels.

In 1938, the Durst Gil arrived as a symbol of precision and accessible imaging. Born in our home of Brixen, Italy, this iconic box camera was one of the early milestones in our 90-year history of innovation.

The History: The Gil was designed to bring high-quality photography to a wider audience. It used 6x9 format film and featured a distinctive, sturdy design that became a hallmark of Durst engineering. It wasn’t just a camera; it was a promise of reliability that helped establish Durst as a leader in the world of analog optics.

The Creation:
- Tactile Engineering: Known for its robust build and elegant « Gil » script, it represented the peak of pre-war industrial design.

- The Foundation: The technical lessons learned from the Gil’s lens and shutter systems eventually paved the way for our transition into world-class digital production technology.
