🗓️Common Languages are looking for Polish interpreters urgently, we are looking for a team of 3 Polish interpreters for a 3hrs online event this Thursday 8th August 19-22 CET.
📌The event is a collaboration with Collective Abundance, a group working to change philanthropy for climate change groups and nurture collective organised power. This is a meeting with 10 grassroots community groups in Poland that will be receiving funding for their projects during the next year

I sottotitoli spesso non corrispondono, normalmente dovuto alla durata richiesta (max 2 sec) e mancanza di spazio...ma a volte ci sono pressioni diverse! La terza stagione di Friends (1997) vede Joey descrivere la sua nonna. Nel dialogo originale "sputa sul ca****re di Mussolini" mentre nella versione italiana "può ricorrere al suo fucile". Governo Prodi all'epoca ma la Mediaset di Berlusconi!

Subtitles are often different due to time & space constraints but sometimes there's different pressures! The Italian "localisation" of Friends (1997) from season 3 has Joey describing his Italian grandmother. In the original dialogue below she is "spitting on Mussolini's co**se" (sputo sul ca****re penzolante di Mussolini) whilst in the revised Italian version "she may resort to her shotgun" (potrebbe ricorrere al suo vecchio fucile). Prodi govt back then but Berlusconi's Mediaset bless !

I'd be happy to just translate books, comics and subtitles from now on but all that's happening is working more for less..nothing original in using new tech to increase production & cut costs but was hoping for a fully automated luxury utopia instead
