As we prepare for Dubai Design Week, let's take a quick throwback to last year's exhibition, Anatolia.

Anatolia was the collective exhibition within the Downtown Design Fair, inspired by the great crossroads of ancient civilizations, conceived by Isola Studio in collaboration with Grob Design.

The show highlighted Anatolian design, and the setup had an atmosphere reminiscent of the Silk Road. This historic trade route linked the East and the West, creating, with 25 Turkish and Middle Eastern designers, a vital hub for cultural exchange within the territories it traversed.

For the occasion, our creative director Elif Resitoglu, in collaboration with Canan Eren from Grob Design, designed a booth recreating a Kervansaray, an ancient resting place for caravans and travelers where visitors could exchange ideas, enhance their network, join workshops, and purchase a selection of lifestyle objects by the participating brands and designers.

It was great to see how many people came through this collective exhibition and it was beautiful to see how many visitors were passionate about this journey through Turkish design.

Once again this year, Blank supported Isola Design in organizing Isola Design Festival.
The event involved more than 300 designers in what can be considered the largest edition to date.

In addition to the installations and projects displayed in the locations of the Isola neighborhood, 7 group exhibitions were curated, based not only in the now famous and much-loved district, but also - and for the first time - outside the boundaries of Isola, reaching Certosa, Porta Nuova and Tortona!

The theme chosen for Milan Design Week 2023, Nothing Happens if Nothing Happens, arose with the aim of redefine new guidelines for the design industry, rethinking production processes and systems, revitalizing natural resources and waste, and repairing the damage we have done to our planet.

This year at Blank has been full of surprises and adventures!

We discovered new places and made extraordinary experiences.
We took part in international events as well as private ones, connecting different cultures, professions, and ideas, and increasing our cultural background.

Those important memories are shaping our path towards the future!
2022 was a blast, but 2023 has many interesting projects in store for us 😎

And the award goes to… 🏆
The 16th of December we celebrated design and the creativity of Isola Design District’s Community, hosting the second edition of Isola Design Awards in Stecca3, one of the most known locations in the heart of Isola, where our project started!

The spaces were all decorated in blue, Isola’s colour of course, and we set up everything to create a cozy and elegant atmosphere, dividing the stage where the awards took place to the comfy lounge room where to sip the authentic taste of the gin Monkey 47 - Schwarzwald Dry Gin, sponsor of the event.

Before and after the ceremony, the guests were also delighted with delicious finger food and wine supplied by local suppliers. Last but not least, the Bolla Quartet's live music could not miss to juice up the evening and entertain the audience!

For the first time ever, Isola Design District is going to Dubai!

Thanks to the collaboration with Dubai Design District and the Downtown Design fair, we’re going to exhibit a selection of projects from our Design Community, to showcase a glimpse of Isola’s platform to this new and modern city!

We are committed in giving emerging designers and design studios the chance to introduce themselves and their products to the wide international market and that’s what we pursue day by day.

Together As One - Dubai edition, takes place from the 9th to 12th November and we look forward to finding out what this experience will hold for us 💪🏻

Intense and aromatic, Liquori Borges is the historical Milanese liqueur par excellence. It is made out of 63 herbs and comes in a classic bottle, with a timeless and elegant shape.

To present this product we kept in mind 3 key points:
🇮🇹 Made in Italy
🔄The union of past and present
🌿 Its “Surreal Naturalness”

We created a brownish feed for Instagram, that recalls the past and the ancient pubs. In one of the columns we alternated two kind of graphics: the first one integrates an illustration to the product, to express some concepts about Borges, the second one is an infographic to explain the characteristics of the products.

We are in the heart of Dutch Design Week and ready to share some insights!

Isola Design District is participating in the event for the 4th time in a row, but this time we decided to dream big: 7 exhibitions bringing together 100 designers, from 22 countries, who are moved by the same will: to create and share solutions to the most discussed issues of our time.

It is for us a really big step outside the borders of our country, but it's just a starting point. In fact, in a few days we will embark on a new adventure... Dubai Design Week!
