🌵 Surviving a hallucinogenic desert trip fueled by pe**te and shrooms... or maybe it’s just a mirage created by the heat and dust? 🍄🏜️

The truth is, the scene out here is damn hot, totally real, and reeks of race fuel and adrenaline. Our team hit the dirt fielding two beasts that look straight out of a lysergic dream:

🏁 Ducati 750 Sport: Forget the asphalt clip-ons. This is a stripped-down, mean machine, meticulously prepped to get sideways and dominate the dirt of the Mile.

🤫 Scrambler 500 Desmo: An absolute unicorn. We’re talking about a parallel-twin prototype, developed in absolute secret to conquer the American market.

The air is shimmering, the sun is beating down, and the bikes are warmed up and ready to go wide open. ✊💨

Here I am again for my friends who love the truth and even for those who settle for AI.

We’re back in my dreams, inside a brain that spins way too fast for our era—or maybe too slow! 🤣

We’re in the late ‘60s with BSA, HARLEY, and her: the bike that never truly conquered the red dirt. A simple single-cylinder Ducati 450 Desmo R/T.

And I keep wondering: maybe not on the Mile, but on a Short Track, could it have actually tasted success? What do you guys think?

The floor is open to the gearheads.

Picture the dusty oval tracks, the deafening roar of the big twins sliding sideways, and then, the Italian rebel steps in.

We all know the big-bore twins would eat it alive on a one-mile straight. But on a Short Track?

That’s a whole different game. It’s all about agility, feather-light weight, and brutal low-end torque.

The Desmo engine had a punchy power delivery and an over-rev that pushrod engines could only dream of.

On paper, this lean, mean single-cylinder should have danced on the dirt.

So, why didn’t it dominate? I’m throwing these provocations out there:
• The Frame? Were the geometries just too “European” and not built for the continuous sideways sliding of American ovals?
• Too Refined? Was the Desmodromic system—a true mechanical sculpture—considered too delicate for the violent beating and vibrations of dirt track racing?
• The Rider? Or did it just never cross paths with an American rider crazy and skilled enough to truly push it to its absolute limit?

I want to hear from the purists, the shed mechanics, and the vintage motorcycle addicts.

C’è qualcosa nella partenza della che accende l’immaginazione… 🔥

Mi sono perso a fantasticare su una scena anni ’70: sabbia, vento, motori che urlano e Ducati RT e Scrambler preparati a dovere — parafango alto, marmitta alta, manubrio da cross. Niente elettronica, solo istinto, polvere e libertà.

Moto sporche, occhi pieni di adrenalina e quella sensazione che oggi è difficile spiegare… ma che si sente ancora, da qualche parte.

E adesso mi è rimasta addosso una voglia assurda: prendere uno Scrambler e trasformarlo in una vera desert sled. Essenziale, ruvida, viva.

Forse non è solo nostalgia. Forse è il richiamo di qualcosa di più autentico.

E voi… resistereste? 😍

L’AI avrà anche mille difetti, ma a volte ti sbatte in faccia in un secondo quello che hai in testa da una vita intera. 🤯

Questo che vedete non è solo un’immagine generata al computer, è il mio sogno più grande.

E la cosa pazzesca è che una piccola parte esiste già. 🤫

Circa 15 anni fa, dopo altri 8 di trattativa, io e mio padre siamo riusciti ad acquistare una moto incredibile, una perla rara che in pochi conoscono.

Tutti parlano del classico Ducati Scrambler, ma quanti conoscono il Ducati RT 450 Desmo?

Forse i più attenti fan di ora capiranno meglio molte cose…

Una bestia nata per il mercato americano, per dominare il deserto della Baja a fine anni ‘60. 🏜️

A questo punto molti di voi diranno: “E c*o, cosa aspetti a farla ruggire?”

La verità la conoscete: la vita si mette in mezzo.

Le priorità cambiano, i doveri chiamano, e i sogni a volte devono mettersi in coda e aspettare il loro turno sotto un telo impolverato.

Ma l’idea di farne una versione da Flat Track non mi ha mai abbandonato.

Il mio super sogno assoluto?

Tornare con la mia famiglia al e sporcarmi di terra correndo con queste due meraviglie. 🏁

La colpa a dirla tutta è di vedere la sua RT mi ha riacceso una fiamma mai spenta…e ora vedendo oggi questa immagine, mi ha emozionato come non mi capitava da tantissimo tempo guardando una moto.

Spero che visualizzarlo sia il primo passo per trasformarlo finalmente in realtà. ✨

Bisogna avere il coraggio di dire le cose come stanno e smettere con questo finto buonismo. ✋🇮🇹

Siamo arrivati al limite.

Non è una questione di destra o di sinistra, è una questione di REALTÀ.

Siamo un Paese in evidente difficoltà e non possiamo più permetterci di usare la parola “integrazione” a sproposito.
Ecco i fatti che dobbiamo affrontare se vogliamo essere onesti:

• Gestione vs Sopravvivenza: Non si può salvare nessuno se noi per primi stiamo affogando. Non riusciamo a garantire una vita dignitosa a troppi nostri connazionali; pensare di poter gestire flussi incontrollati non è solidarietà, è un’utopia che crea solo disastri.

• Il corto circuito del disagio: Portare in casa persone a cui non possiamo offrire un futuro concreto genera una bomba sociale. Quando le aspettative si scontrano con la realtà e manca la gestione, subentra la frustrazione che spesso sfocia in degrado e delinquenza.

• Chi vuole costruire e chi no: L’integrazione è un patto. Porte aperte a chi ha voglia di lavorare e rimboccarsi le maniche (anche perché siamo noi i primi ad avere la puzza sotto al naso per certi mestieri). Ma basta tollerare chi non ha la minima intenzione di rispettare le nostre regole.

• La domanda che scotta: Molti di voi hanno figli, mogli, genitori anziani che vivono le nostre città ogni giorno. Guardatevi intorno: vi sentite davvero tranquilli?

Non è razzismo, è PRAGMATISMO. Essere realisti significa capire che non possiamo accogliere più di quanto siamo in grado di gestire con dignità. Se non salviamo prima noi stessi e il nostro territorio, non saremo in grado di aiutare nessuno.

L’altro giorno ho visto un annuncio tristissimo: un ristorante che propone nutrie come piatto, spacciandolo per “grande idea” contro il sovraffollamento.

Siamo più di 8 miliardi su questo pianeta… e il problema sarebbero loro?

Facciamo più danni noi in un giorno di quante intere specie ne faranno mai in una vita.

Però continuiamo a raccontarcela, a rifugiarci nel “si è sempre fatto così”: lo faceva il nonno, lo facevano mamma e papà… quindi è giusto.

Ma forse nel 2026 potremmo anche provare a essere un po’ più evoluti, fermarci, pensare, mettere in discussione quello che ci hanno insegnato senza darlo per scontato.

Poi accendi il telegiornale… e capisci tutto.

Se qualche anno fa mi avessero detto che un giorno avrei sfruttato la pausa pranzo per andare a correre, mi sarei preso in giro da solo. E anche di gusto. 😅

Oggi, però, la prospettiva è cambiata. Con il passare del tempo ho capito che tenermi in movimento non è più solo una scelta, ma un dovere: voglio essere un papà, un marito, fratello e figlio il più in forma e presente possibile per la mia famiglia.

A dirla tutta, con tutte le esperienze che ho accumulato, a volte mi sento 102 anni sulle spalle, anche se la carta d’identità dice che ne ho “solo” 42.

Ma l’obiettivo finale è uno solo: voglio invecchiare mantenendo l’energia e il fiato per continuare a fare lo scemo, esattamente come facevo a 20 anni... e come, in fondo, continuo a fare anche adesso! 🏃‍♂️💨🤪
