Stay away from these sources. Your social media deserves attention and specialized support but not randomness that will impact your online presence negatively.

👉 You don’t need to do social media.
But you do need to understand how it works.

Because without that:

⚠️ You can’t tell if a campaign is working
⚠️ You can’t guide your team properly
⚠️ You can’t evaluate proposals from agencies
⚠️ You risk wasting time, budget… and opportunities

I see it happening all the time.!

😵‍💫 Schools concentrating on the wrong metrics Eg likes instead of reach to non-followers
😵‍💫 School pages without optimization (Eg leading to a Google form or simply nowhere)
😵‍💫 Schools imitating influencers posts when actually a school's objective is totally different
😵‍💫 Schools hiring a graphic designer thinking that pretty graphic posts will help but having zero strategy

The thing is that in all these cases the school loses budget, enrolments and wastes resources and time.

The good news? There's a solution.

If you want your social media to actually support enrolments (and not just be a leak in your school's budget) first of all get trained on the basics, next get a strategy.

Then you can manage it in house.

Visual content on social media will impact a student's decision whether to enrol at your language school or not.

So posting on social media to market a language school isn't the same as posting for private reasons.

It's not like putting up a flyer on a noticebard, either.

You need to be able to show your school's strengths, create an emotional connection and build trust through authentic photos and videos.

When you have a visual library with photos and videos carefully taken, it becomes easier to create posts and these will be far more convincing than text based ones.

After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth a million!

The first conference I spoke at as an independent marketing consultant was Eaquals Venice.

The event happened in a hotel I knew well because it was the same where I used to organize conferences in my previous job in publishing.

However, it felt a bit strange. Almost surreal.

I was there presenting independently. It was a time of uncertainty and of new beginnings 🥹

Four years later here I am ready for my second Eaquals.

Looking back I see the meandering road of the last four years.

Highs and lows in between, but all in all, feeling really pleased with my journey since that April in Venice.😌

Now it's time to go to Berlin! 😍 And I'm really looking forward to it.
