11 June 2020 my work "Infinite Scroll" streamed live on dozens of platforms including vogue.ru, fashiontv.com, fashionweekonline.com and many others.
Fashion is an infinite, neverending flow of interchanging forms and colors. It has always been like this, but today as our tech-infused life becomes increasingly faster and mobile devices have become our main windows into the world trends seem to change as fast as we scroll through our social media feed.
In this work we the viewers "scroll" through fashion designs, patterns and cultural references from different historical periods while the virtual model's body acts as blank canvas for them.
The video itself may serve as an example of virtual production, as virtual fashion model Serah Reikka wasn't added into live footage in post-production; instead she was brought to actual locations with the help of Augmented Reality and filmed live as she walked through the streets of Udine (Italy) just like in a real fashion shoot.
