The negotiations between the United States and Iran mainly focus on Iran’s nuclear program and the possible lifting of U.S. economic sanctions.
In recent months, talks have taken place indirectly, often with mediation from countries like Oman, showing some signs of progress with discussions described as “constructive.” However, major disagreements remain: the U.S. aims to limit not only Iran’s nuclear activities but also its missile program and regional influence, while Iran insists on focusing only on the nuclear issue and the removal of sanctions.
The situation is further complicated by regional tensions, interruptions in dialogue, and conflicting political signals from both sides. Although diplomatic contacts continue, a final agreement still appears distant.
