The Italian Lounge nasce per andare oltre l’esposizione: creare a Shanghai un luogo dove il design italiano possa incontrare persone, idee e nuove opportunità, mettendo in relazione design, cultura, lifestyle e business tra Italia e Cina.

The Italian Lounge returns to CIFF Shanghai. 🇮🇹

From 5–8 September 2026, The Italian Lounge will be back at CIFF Shanghai with a new edition dedicated to Italian Design & Lifestyle.

Conceived and organized by Edimotion, The Italian Lounge is growing into a platform where leading Italian brands, design culture, inspiring talks and networking opportunities come together, creating new connections between Italy and China.

This year’s edition will bring new brands, prestigious collaborations, talks, special events and new opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with designers, professionals and key players from the industry.

And there is much more still to be revealed.

In the coming weeks, we will introduce the brands, partners, designers, speakers and events that will bring The Italian Lounge 2026 to life.

With the successful conclusion of CBDGuangzhou 2026, we are proud to celebrate the first edition of The World Connect Lounge—a new international platform where knowledge, business and global connections came together throughout the exhibition.

Conceived and developed by Edimotion, and hosted by CBD Guangzhou, with the creative concept by Vudafieri Saverino Partners and the workspace solutions provided by Victory, The World Connect Lounge became much more than a forum area. It evolved into a vibrant hub for dialogue, networking, business meetings and meaningful exchanges between Chinese exhibitors and professionals from around the world.

At the heart of the Lounge, the World Connect Forum explored two key themes:�
📌 International Trends in Architecture, Interiors and Materials�
📌 International Markets, Export Opportunities and the Middle East Perspective

Bringing together architects, designers, researchers, journalists and market experts, the Forum generated valuable insights on design innovation, global market developments and international business opportunities, strengthening the dialogue between Chinese manufacturers and the global architecture, design and construction communities.

A special thanks to CBD Guangzhou, Prof. Francesco Antonio Scullica (Politecnico di Milano), CSIL Furniture Market Research Construction Week (ITP Media Group), Vudafieri Saverino Partners, Victory, all our distinguished speakers, exhibitors and international guests for making this initiative possible.

CIFF Guangzhou 2026 confirms its global leadership — a journey Edimotion is proud to support

In a context shaped by geopolitical complexity, travel constraints and global market uncertainty, the continued growth of international attendance sends a strong and clear signal.
This year, CIFF - China International Furniture Fair Guangzhou welcomed 353,106 professional visitors from 185 countries and regions, including 64,291 overseas attendees (+13.2%), reaching a new record high.
With over 5,100 brands from 36 countries across 850,000 sqm, the fair once again confirmed its unmatched scale and global reach.
